Yogeshwar Chemicals Ltd. (YCL) offers a comprehensive range of high-performance chemicals for the entire leather processing cycle—from wet-end operations to finishing.

At Yogeshwar Chemicals Ltd. (YCL), we offer a full-spectrum portfolio of specialty chemicals that support every stage of leather manufacturing—from raw hide treatment in the beamhouse to the final finishing of leather goods. Our solutions are designed to enhance leather quality, streamline production, and meet modern environmental standards.

Our product portfolio includes agents for soaking, liming, deliming, bating, degreasing, pickling, tanning, fatliquoring, dyeing, and finishing. These are formulated to support various leather types such as bovine, goat, sheep, buffalo, and suede, and meet the demands of footwear, upholstery, garments, and automotive leather industries.

We work closely with tanneries to deliver products that provide optimum process performance, cost-efficiency, and consistent quality output, regardless of the leather type or end use.

Core Leather Processing Segments

1. Beamhouse Operations

Beamhouse processing prepares raw hides and skins by removing natural impurities and non-collagenous material. This stage lays the foundation for uniform tanning and finishing.

Processes Involved:

Soaking – Rehydrating and cleaning hides to remove dirt, salt, and debris

Liming & Dehairing – Breaking down keratin to loosen hair and open the fiber structure

Fleshing & Scudding – Removing subcutaneous tissue and residual debris

Deliming & Bating – Neutralizing alkalinity and softening fibers through enzymatic breakdown

Pickling – Preparing hides for tanning by lowering pH and infusing salt

YCL Offerings:

Specialty wetting agents, degreasers, liming auxiliaries

Enzymatic bating and deliming agents

Efficient surfactants and dispersants for optimized penetration

Pickling additives that ensure uniformity and reduced effluent load

2. Tanning

Tanning transforms the hide into stable leather by chemically cross-linking collagen fibers, making them more resistant to microbial attack, shrinkage, and environmental damage.

Tanning Types Supported:

Chrome Tanning – Produces soft, durable leather with excellent wear resistance

Vegetable Tanning – Eco-friendly option for firmer, breathable leather

Synthetic Tanning – Enhances fullness, grain tightness, and dyeability

Combination Tanning – Blends the best properties of chrome and syntan finishes

YCL Offerings:

YOGALTAN chrome-saving polymers and auxiliaries for high exhaustion tanning

Complexing agents for chrome penetration and stabilization

Fillers and retanning agents for improved tightness and fullness

Low-formaldehyde syntans for environmentally compliant processing

3. Fatliquoring

Fatliquoring is essential for imparting softness, flexibility, tensile strength, and resistance to cracking. It introduces oils into leather fibers for lubrication, making the final product soft yet durable.

YCL Offerings:

YOGSOL & YOGSTOL series of emulsified and sulfated oils

Anionic, nonionic, and blended fatliquors tailored for various leather types

Lightfast, oxidation-resistant, and non-yellowing grades

Fatliquors for drum dyeing, soft leathers, garment leathers, and suede

4. Leather Finishing

Finishing enhances the leather’s appearance, touch, color depth, water resistance, and mechanical properties. It also corrects grain and conceals imperfections.

Types of Finishes:

Topcoats – Glossy, matte, or satin finishes for surface aesthetics

Waterproofing & Oil Repellents – For outdoor or industrial leather

Pigments & Dye Binders – Uniform color, rub resistance, and long-lasting vibrancy

Feel Modifiers – Waxy, silky, dry, or oily touch

YCL Offerings:

PU dispersions, acrylic emulsions, protein binders

Water-based topcoat systems for sustainable finishing

Crosslinkers and softeners for enhanced handle

Additives for anti-yellowing, heat resistance, and abrasion resistance
